BLOOM FROM THE INSIDE OUT - Miranda G, Senior

This piece was made from paint, graphite, and creativity. There are vibrant colors and darker colors. The darker colors represent the dullness in our lives. The real part of everyone that shines is their personality - represented through the flowers. The story behind this artwork is that everyone is beautiful on the inside, no matter how you look. This reminds people that they are beautiful no matter what, and treat everyone with kindness. If you do that, the world automatically becomes better.

FRIENDS - Naomi H, Cadette

My art was done using white and black charcoal on black paper. I am very proud of my work. This picture shows my friend and me enjoying time outdoors prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

RING AROUND THE TURTLE - Gwen P, Cadette

In our art class we were asked to make a 3-D image on 2-D sandpaper with pastels. I love animals and turtles. We had seen coy fish at the zoo. So, I put them together for this piece. There are two Koi fish, one red/white and one gold/orange with a green turtle swimming in water that is ombre light blue to dark blue. It was fun to create this artwork and I love how it turned out. I love the colors & we are going to frame it because it came out so well. I love nature and care about protecting animals.

CRAWLING AWAY FROM EXTINCTION - Lyra L, Cadette

This painting was inspired by the quote, "Every species exists for a reason and to allow one to die off would rob the world of the unique beauty and qualities it provides." from Keeper of The Lost Cities. I want people to know that animals are dying off and it is people who are causing it and we're the ones who can stop it. I chose three different animals for my painting: the polar bear, the hawksbill turtle and the leopard. All three of these animals are endangered and struggling to survive.

SPREAD LOVE - Piper Z, Cadette

Spread Love is the title of my artwork. Spread Love is very colorful and has many patterns. My artwork is made out of oil pastels and black sharpie. While doing my artwork, I made sure to take my time. I learned that there are various colors and shapes. My want to make the world a better place inspired my artwork. My goal as an artist is to inspire others. In the future, I hope to make similar artwork.
